FAQs

When is the best time to have cataract surgery?

You may consider surgery if your cataract has affected your vision to the point you are unable to perform your daily activities.

Will cataract return after surgery?

Your cataract will not return after surgery as your natural lens will be removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens. It is a one-time surgery.

Will I need glasses after cataract surgery?

We specialise in precision cataract surgery. With the use of Trifocal lenses which allow you to have good near, intermediate and far vision, we aim for you to be free from glasses for most activities post-surgery.

Do I need to be hospitalised for cataract surgery?

Cataract surgery is a 30-minute day surgery per eye. There is no need to be hospitalised. You will be discharged on the day of surgery.

Can I claim cataract surgery fee from my Medisave account and health insurance?

Yes, you may claim up to $2,450 per eye from your Medisave account. If applicable, the surgery is also insurance-claimable.
